Finnish sauna
Traditional enjoyment
Perhaps the most traditional sauna in the world, the Finnish sauna dates back thousands of years. The Fins used to heat their homes with hot stones. By chance, they discovered that the rocks would release extra heat in the form of steam when water was poured over them. The sauna was born!
The Finnish Sauna
A thousand years ago, the Fins would use heated stones to warm their homes. By chance, they discovered that the rocks would release extra heat in the form of steam when water was poured over them. The sauna was born! While this form of heating initially served a practical purpose, the Fins soon noticed the physical and mental benefits of this heat. Over time, a sauna culture developed as part of the daily care for body and mind.

How does the Finnish Sauna work?
The underlying principle of the Finnish sauna has remained relatively unchanged. Water is poured over heated stones until the room reaches a temperature of 90 °C with 30% humidity Your body absorbs the heat in the air. The relatively low humidity makes this heat very comfortable.
For many guests, the authentic Finnish Sauna is an integral part of the sauna experience. This is not surprising, given that this sauna has a positive effect on muscles, joints, airways, and skin. Improved perspiration and circulation contribute to the efficient removal of waste and toxins from the body. Regular sauna visits activate and strengthen the immune system.
Cooling off is an essential part of the Finnish sauna ritual. When you leave the sauna, you can use one of our many cool-off options.
