Finnish Sauna

In the Finnish sauna, you experience relaxation just as the Finns did a thousand years ago, when they heated their dwellings with warmed stones.

Our most traditional sauna

In our Finnish sauna, you enjoy a traditional, pure sauna experience. The hot, dry air relaxes your muscles and refreshes your mind. Here, you can completely reconnect with yourself.

How does a Finnish sauna work? The principle of the Finnish sauna is essentially still the same as in the past. Water is poured over stones heated on a stove. The room has a temperature of 90°C and a humidity level of 30%. The heat is transferred to your body through the air. Thanks to the relatively low humidity, this warmth is easy to tolerate.

For many guests, the authentic Finnish sauna is a fixed part of their sauna day. Not surprising, as this sauna has a positive effect on muscles, joints, airways, and skin. Sweating and improved circulation contribute to efficiently removing waste products from the body. Regular sauna visits activate and strengthen the immune system.

Cooling down is an essential part of the Finnish sauna ritual. After leaving the hot sauna, you cool your body in one of our cool-off areas.

The Finnish sauna

A thousand years ago, the Finns heated their (cave) dwellings with fire-heated stones. By chance, they discovered that pouring water over the hot stones released steam, which created extra warmth. The "sauna" was born! Although this method of heating initially served a practical purpose, the Finns soon appreciated the physical and mental benefits of this warmth, and over time, a sauna culture developed as part of daily care for body and mind.
