Frequently asked questions about Swimwear Day

What type of swimwear is permitted?

- Bikini or swimming costume
- Swimming trunks or shorts

Which swimwear is NOT allowed?
Wearing body-covering swimwear (such as a burkini or headscarf) is not permitted in our resort. This is because your body temperature and heart rate rise significantly in the sauna, and covering swimwear can prevent your body from cooling down properly. Wearing such clothing in the sauna may therefore pose health risks.

In addition, during a sauna visit, your body releases a large number of waste substances. Body-covering swimwear can retain and spread these substances, which is unhygienic — both for yourself and for our other guests.

Can I bring my own food an drink to the sauna?

You do no need to bring your own food an ddrink. In fact, bringing your own food and drink is not permitted. Let us surprise you in one of our restaurants. That's much more fun - and more delicious!

Where can I enjoy a bite to eat and a drink?

There are several restaurants to choose from. Here you can enjoy good, healthy and delicious food. If you want to eat at our restaurants, you will need to book a table during check-in. When you arrive at one of the restaurants, a host will show you an available table.

What should I bring for a day in the sauna?

- Large bath towel (for in the saunas)
- Two towels (for drying yourself off)
- Bathrobe and flipflops (you can also hire/purchase these items at Thermen Bussloo)
- Bottle of water

Do I have to reserve a visit to the sauna in advance?

Yes, reservations are required. This is to ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff and to manage our guest numbers. We are unable to grant you access to our resort without a reservation. Click here to make a reservation.
